the drying rack while it's serving it's intended purpose (drying clothes) and she proceeds to drop the clean laundry onto the floor. Lovely. She has also taken to knocking off all the baubles and other ornaments that were so carefully hung on the Christmas tree. Normally we can find a tidy pile of them placed neatly in a corner, under the sofa, or in the bathroom, which is at the other end of the house, mind you. Pete, Bill's housemate, came down one morning to find the tree completely on its side...the little rascal. We've got to find her a hobby. One of my favorite things about Mathilde is that she likes grits. Cheese grits. Granted, she'll usually stick her nose in anything that's been placed on the floor in front of her, but I was pleased with the tenacity of her grits consumption. That's my girl.
So here are just a couple of pictures of Mathilde and Bill (top) and Pete (right)...enjoy!

I have 5 cats. Let me tell you about cats and Christmas trees. The Rules are: 1.) Breakable ornaments on the top. 2,) Shiny ornaments on the top. 3.) Unbreakable ornaments on the bottom. 4.) No tinsel lower than half way. (Tinsel can slash a cat tummy to, well, ribbons.) 5.) Lay a brick on the leg of the tree/holder away from the front in case of flying kitty leap.
By the way, expect to rearrange the Christmas Village often. We do.
