Maya woodcarving exhibition

Hi everyone!

This is going to be a quick post, but I promise I'll update on all my adventures in the last couple of months very soon. But for now, I just wanted to share with you the website for the exhibition I've been co-curating and organzing since 2007 with my former supervisor, which is called "Crafting Maya Identity: Contemporary Wood Sculptures from the Puuc Region of Yucatan, Mexico." It opens this month at Northern Illinois University and then travels to Mexico in later 2010. We are trying to locate other venues where it might travel, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

In the meantime, please take a look at the website and spread the word! And if any of you will be in the Chicago area in mid-September, please do come by and visit as I'll be there for the scholarly symposium we've also organized (make sure you click on the "symposium" tab for a photo of yours truly!).

Hope you all are doing well, and I'll post more very soon!
